WEALTH Day Agenda Details

Interfaith Climate Vigil
The Climate Prayer Vigil is for prayer and reflection as we, of many faiths, pray that our leaders have the discernment to take seriously their responsibility to address both the causes of climate change and its effects on communities throughout Kansas and beyond.
Advocacy Briefing
The Advocacy Briefing is the welcome event where you will hear about the day's events and how to advocate for issues you care about.
Solutions Showcase
The Solutions Showcase takes place on the entire first floor rotunda and features businesses and organizations working on WEALTH priorities in Kansas.
Local Foods Lunch
The full menu and details can be seen below.
Climate Hearing

As part of WEALTH Day this year, the WEALTH Coalition is hosting a "Comprehensive Climate Hearing” - the hearing that has never been held before in the statehouse. A committee will be made up of members of both chambers and both parties, as well as members of the community with expertise. The committee will hear testimony from issue experts on a full range of climate-related issues.

Climate Rally
Wear Green! The rally will be an optimistic gathering of Kansans around the climate issue. Speakers will include Lieutenant Governor Lynn Rogers; Senator Tom Hawk; and CEP Executive Director, Dorothy Barnett.

Water Dialog
Learn about the Kansas water plan from water experts.

Cookies and Conversation
WEALTH Day wraps up on the first floor rotunda, where locally made cookies will be served. An opportunity to deliver a cookie along with a WEALTH Day message to your legislator is part of this event. There will be a drawing of names for door prizes so be sure and stay until the end!
