Database of State Initiatives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) – comprehensive source for state, local, utility, and federal incentives promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Energy Information Administration (EIA) – tracks breath-taking range of statistics on U.S. energy consumption (fossil fuels and renewables), emissions, etc.
Windpowering America: Job and Economic Development Impact (JEDI) Model (DOE/EERE) – how will wind power benefit your community? Calculate the impacts here.
Emissions and Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID) of the EPA - comprehensive inventory of air emissions data for the electric power sector. Integrates data from EIA, EPA, and FERC on Excel spreadsheets. (Not for amateurs.)
National Energy Research Database (NERD) - compiles academic studies, technical reports and research articles from the government and non-profit groups into a single, searchable database.
U.S. Greenhouse Gas Inventory Reports , EPA
Power Profiler , EPA – find out your utility’s power use by typing in your zip code.
Carbon Monitoring For Action (CARMA) – tracks carbon emissions for more than 50,000 power plants and 4,000 power companies in every country on Earth.
