The IPCC is a scientific intergovernmental body set up by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and it is composed of scientists from all over the world. It’s purpose is to provide an objective source of information on climate change for global policymakers. In 2007, the IPCC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Al Gore.
