Corn-Based Ethanol

This is a biofuel, a form of ethanol derived from corn products and used to replace gasoline. Corn-based ethanol is a technologically viable form of renewable fuels, but some critics contend that it doesn’t do enough to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and that the use of corn for fuel raises food prices. Until cellulosic ethanol becomes more commercially viable, though, there is no other substitute.
