Community Wind

A community wind project is defined as one where a local community member has direct financial stake in the project, and shares in the benefits. The point is that the bulk of the project’s financial and other benefits do not go disproportionately out of the community and into the pockets of large outside investors.

Other forms of wind energy include small wind (usually small installations by homeowners or ranchers) and utility wind.
